Elbphilarmonie Audience Orchestra

The Audience Orchestra brings together passionate hobby musicians of all ages to share what they love most at a high artistic level.

Under the slogan “Play along!” the Elbphilharmonie is the first concert house to establish multiple orchestras and ensembles for both passionate hobby musicians and semi-professionals – including the Audience Orchestra brought to life in cooperation with the Hamburg Conservatory, which Aurubis supports as an exclusive “Classic Sponsor.”

Performing in the Elbphilharmonie Grand Hall: The Audience Orchestra brings together passionate hobby musicians of all ages to share what they love most at a high artistic level. The orchestra performs in the Elbphilharmonie Grand Hall twice a year. The orchestra is conducted by Michael Petermann, director of the Hamburg Conservatory. The program includes symphonic works such as those of Leonard Bernstein.
